St Patrick's Day Parades will be the centre of celebrations in Newry City and Downpatrick on St Patrick’s Day. Led by Saint Patrick himself, the Parades on Monday 17 March 2025 will offer a feast for eyes and ears as swirling dancers, community floats and costumed characters entertain the crowds. The exhibit and videos were so well done and realizing that the exhibit is at the site of where Patrick’s ministry began is very humbling. Afterwards, the St. Patrick Centre’s director, Dr. Tim Campbell, spoke with our group and fielded questions about St. Patrick, Northern Ireland, Irish politics, history, culture, society etc. 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of St Patrick’s Way, a walking trail that connects key sites relating to the saint and Christian heritage.
